Apparently today's the MSEL's birthday... and she still can't get on camera? Gee, you'd think she was just a mythical creation of Drew's imagination or something. ;^)

General inquiry: Why does everyone think popcorn carts are that cheap?

We round out the day with the debut of the new and (hopefully) improved Punch-a-Bunch, with its rejigged slip distribution:

1 $25,000 2 $10,000
4 $5,000 8 $2,500 10 $1,000
10 $500 10 $250 5 $100

No more Second Chances, no more $50 slips, and a straight-up 50:50 chance of winning at least a thousand dollars. Also, the addition of a second $10,000 slip reduces the odds of a Punchy win by my estimation (I'm keeping my fudge rule intact for this game) to 1:16.667, an improvement from the 1:25 it's had all along. It's still probably not an ideal distribution, but it's at least an order of magnitude better than what we had before IMO. Sometimes, you have to take what you can get...

While it's still not a big winner, it's much nicer than the Punchboard was yielding the last few playings under the old layout. I think I could get used to this. 8^)

1 comment:

  1. This actually was episode #5644K. The CBS airdate schedule accidentally lists #5655K twice, each with tapedates of 6/22 (the show aired today) and 6/28. If you check the fan photo site (http://www.priceisright.com/fanphotos), #5655K taped on 6/28, while #5644K taped on 6/22; the logical conclusion is that today's show was #5644K.
