OBVIOUS!

Not even Mike Richards at his most evil could get away with a $4,500 trip to Boston. Kind of a forced win, but at this point who's complaining? Not me...

LOSS

My gut instinct was to take the pool table, but that's the problem with the designer shoes and accessories... they're more random than the randomest thing in the history of randomness. Any time you see them in a game such as this, you need to be on your guard. Not only that, but this is the kind of loss that can scare people away from fashion accessories for at least six months, even when all logic suggests they should pick them.

Bingo. And if the next digit is what it looks like it is, this game has a very serious problem above and beyond merely having a less-than-stellar W-L record.

And so it is. If ever there was a valid reason for upgrading a game to a plasma screen (because HD technology is making backlit digits visible before they actually light up), we're looking at it in Pathy. It may not even be visible in the studio, but on TV it looks strictly bush-league... and my HDTV isn't even the best in the world! If I can make it out, chances are other people can too.

I love backlit displays as much as any other lifelong game show junkie, but this can't continue.

Moving on...

WIN!

As Drew pointed out, it's been a while since our last Pathy win; 12 April to be precise, its only Season 39 victory out of eleven attempts. And it was on one of the tricky paths besides. Nice one! (Even if home viewers did have a leg up on Katrina, at least if they were watching in HD...)

I should've known that Pathy win was too good to be true. Lady Luck is not smiling twice in the same day when it comes to the car games.

And nobody but the vultures are smiling at Daniel still being stuck on the Blueberry Podium. It's his last chance. Can he avoid becoming dinner?

This looked like a switch situation. This felt like a switch situation. Ninety-nine out of a hundred contestants would've switched in this situation. Rebecca, however, is the hundredth. Ah well.

Showcases: Katrina (true) top winner, Ashley runner-up.

1. Get Your Motor Running
  • Trip to Stuttgart, Germany (6n, V8 auto-themed hotel)
    • Tour of the world's first TV tower
    • Room pictures include a repro of a famous Rosie the Riveter WWII poster... in Germany. How weird is that?
    • Wait... Stuttgart? Cars? Does that mean what I think it does?
  • Nope... but a 2012 Volkswagen CC Sport is certainly nothing to sneeze at! (2L, 6DSGAT, carpeted mats, chrome exhaust tips, Fahrvergn├╝gen not necessarily included)
Katrina bids $30,000.
(My bid: $36,175)

(In case you don't know or just didn't pick up on it from my comment, Stuttgart is home base for Porsche.)

2. That Winning Feeling
  • Megatouch RX touchscreen tabletop arcade game
  • Trip to Atlantic City, NJ (6n, Tropicana Atlantic City)
    • Dinner, show tickets, & $100 gift card
    • (Shouldn't it be $200? I think she passed GO...)
  • Sea-Doo Speedster 150 15' speedboat w/trailer
Ashley bids $23,000.
(My bid: $26,549)
