Actually, I have an issue here; the first chip was stuck on the first peg, and Carissa managed to nudge it loose with her hand while Drew was going for the Plinko Stick. That much is fine; however, Drew didn't see her do so, and thought the chip came loose on its own. Apparently the producers agreed with Drew and counted the $10K, despite the fact the camera clearly shows Clarissa pushing the chip loose. By the letter of the law, that chip should not have counted and she should've had to drop it again, no matter what slot it landed in. This isn't the first time the show has looked the other way on this point since the regime change, and it's a rather dangerous precedent to set IMO. Officially, it's still a win even by my standards (under the Plinko Fudge Rule, at least) because the last chip dropped in the $10K slot legitimately, but unofficially, this one gets an asterisk of the non-Goodson-Todman variety.

(CC1: Ambulance chasers)

Showcase Showdown #1 - “And notice how I calmly waited until we were back on the air, and the film was rolling!” quips Drew, referencing yesterday's production miscue in a rare example of day-to-day continuity.

Not a bad haul in a losing effort, and I can't even blame her... too much... for thinking the refrigerator was up there in price (have you seen what they're charging for fridges these days?!).

...And yes, this is a loss. Race Game is only "won" if the player gets all four prizes.

This game was more evil than usual for putting three perfectly likely ranges right next to each other, then going the extra mile to make sure all three of those ranges were around $1,500 apart (which is, as much as anything can be considered a "rule of thumb" in this mess, generally a good thing to watch for if you're at all unsure).

Christopher fell victim to my rage for pulling my pet peeve in the last segment... but even that is as nothing compared to the fate that awaits him if he doesn't get out of the Row now.

  1. The knocking off of the Plinko chip was totally legitimate; Bob let contestants do that all the time, provided they could reach it.

As long as the host's hands or the Plinko stick do not touch it, it counts.
