TPiRecap: 28 October 2011

I haven't yet decided how I'm going to approach this for the month of November... I suppose I'll just play it by ear, and we'll see how everything goes.

Onward.

...Yes, the one she had right the first time was in fact the car -- and you absolutely would have taken my money on that one. I figured three 2s in the price was a sure sign to steer clear. Honestly, I used to like this game a lot, but these days I'm beginning to feel that a serious rethink may be in order. It just doesn't work the way people think these days.

Minor confusion with our next Rowbird, as two Stephanie Kings respond to George's call. The producers let Drew know which one is supposed to be here.

Stephanie's a member of a choir and they all made The Trip with her, so we may get a vocal performance if she does well in Freeze Frame:

She did what I did, so I can't complain. Darn these coin-flip situations anyway.

Showcase Showdown #1, during which we get our teased singing performance; while Stephanie makes her spins, her choir group is standing by in Contestant's Row to serenade the show:

And as regards George's "performance," I think I speak for everyone who ever posted to the old alt.tv.game-shows newsgroup when I say... "GONG HIM!"

Revenge may be over a decade late, but it still tastes so sweet... ;^)

Balance Game:
Trip to Memphis, TN (6n, The Peabody Memphis, 2hr music bus tour)

Drew: "As sometimes happens on The Price is Right, we have in ironic prize!" Vernon has not only been there, done that, and got the T-shirt... he's literally been there, done that, and got the T-shirt! Which he's wearing now, in fact! Even my 48G went on strike when I asked it to calculate the odds of this happening.

So after a disappointing first half to say the least, the second half more than makes up for it. Not bad!
