I was almost right. Wouldn't have figured the 1 for the hundreds digit. Still, not nice.

Yeah, $5,600 from LA to Greece wasn't gonna happen, not even with austerity in play.

We have another Row Bypass with Debra, who at least realizes her error before she even gets up the steps. ^^;

Looks like a fait accompli, since we're playing Double Cross:

Hmm... maybe not so easy at that. I see two realistic, totally defensible options. However, I think I'll stay with $4,795/$5,813 for the TV and the hot tub respectively. Seems to feel the most correct to me.

This wasn't even that difficult. Most peoples' first instinct would be to put all the pharmaceuticals into the Hi row anyway; all Debra needed was to follow that pattern. 8^/

Stephanie and Paul -- no, WWE fans, not those two -- are about to get shipped off to the Ohio River, but one or the other of them can still avoid this ignominious fate. Paul has a slight edge because he does have the last-bid advantage.

While Stephanie goes to get her baggage checked, Paul hops up on stage for the second-half car game, Gas Money:
2013 Dodge Avenger SE (2.4L, 4AT, no Assembly required; MA)

$19,990
$21,665
$20,880
$22,822
$18,388

Somebedy on staff has a double digit fetish, it would seem.

Here's where I attempt to prove this game is not only playable, but winnable. I'm gonna start off by picking the price I'm absolutely certain is not that of the Avenger, $22,822. If I'm correct there, my next two picks would be, in order, $19,990 and $21,665. Finally, if I'm still alive by that point, I'd go with $20,880, leaving $18,388 as the one I'm thinking has the pink slip behind it. (My rationale: More often than not, the lowest price on the board ends up being the car.) However, this game cannot be a forced loss for the same reason Pay the Rent last week could not have been a forced win; Paul can bail out at any time and keep whatever money he's racked up, assuming he survives the first pick (which has a 4:5 chance of being safe).

Let's see how well I would've done...

Pick #1: $18,388
$2000
Go on...
$19,990
$21,665
$20,880
$22,822
$2,000

Well, just make me look like I don't know what I'm talking about, why don't you! ^^;;

With that gone, I'm going to suggest the $20K price as the new Most Likely To Be the Pink Slip.

Pick #2: $22,822
$3000
Go on...
$19,990
$21,665
$20,880
$1,000
$2,000

Pick #3: $19,990
$0000
LOSS
CAR
$21,665
$20,880
$1,000
$2,000

$4,000
$3,000

With an outcome like that, it makes me wonder if the brigade to get this game outta here doesn't actually have a point... 8^/

Rak Shalom also performs for Samuel's spin:

Samuel

Samuel actually chose to spin again rather than take the Spin-Off! That's certainly unusual... and obviously, not entirely the smartest thing to do in this case. But as they say, nothing ventured nothing gained. Besides, if he had gone to the Spin-Off there was a rather decent chance Debra could've spun herself something even more difficult to beat, so this was probably a case of "better the devil you know." I can't condone this decision, but neither can I be down on him for making it -- everyone has their own approach to these games, after all.
