LOSS

(Procedural note: Despite the advent of Partial Wins, a loss is still a loss if all you walk away with are prizes on the SP level.)

Lowball tens digit trick, lots of deer-in-the-headlights, and a decidedly unfriendly setup... the only thing Jodi had going for her, IMO, was the fact she actually didn't start off with the car price, she actually tried to figure out the SPs first. In this game, process of elimination is usually the best approach.

Check Game:
Trip to Seattle, WA (5n, Seattle Sounders fan experience; RR)

I've fixed the check formatting, finally; it should be a lot less wonky now.

Only its fourth time back in the lineup, and already Drew's broken "the official Price is Right quill pen!" (Actually, all he did was accidentally pull the feather cap off the marker when taking it out of its holder.) The spirits of Ezekiel and Zebekiah Barker do not approve. ;^)

You know, I expected this game to have a string of losses when it came back as everyone tried to get re-used to this game's concept... but that grace period is starting to run thin. If we don't get at least one Check Game winner by the end of, say, November, I'm gonna start getting... unpleasant about it.

The Partial Win rule applies in this game as follows: If Robert doesn't find the car with his last/only pick of the board, it counts as a straight-up loss... with one exception. If that last/only pick is for $5,000, I cannot in clear conscience consider that in any way a "loss," so it will get Partial credit. And of course, bailouts are also Partials. Kind of a fudge rule for a Partial win, I know...

Just to make sure, Drew confirms he wants to stop now. (Remember, under the rules of the game, Robert could take his third pick and see if he could pick up the extra $5,000, but of course he doesn't bite.)

One Robert made his way on stage in our last segment (snapping our car-game drought in the process), but the Robert that's been there since the start of the show is about to be consigned to Leftover Island. That is, unless he pulls the proverbial rabbit out of the equally proverbial hat on this rather less than proverbial last IUFB of the day...

Summerset outdoor kitchen island (DG)

What perfect timing! I just finished reviving my graphical template for this one too! Check it out:

(Yeah, I don't know what happened there.  The scale's supposed to look like the image below.  It was fine when I created it, though.  I'll look into it for next time.)

A bit large, I grant, but it does the trick...

This is cheap for one of these things, no matter how you slice it. But I'm gonna go with $7,994 as my own pick.
Wow. Even cheaper than I anticipated. >_< Weren't Summerset kitchen islands almost ten grand just a few months ago? (Yes, I know, changing seasons and all, but this episode was recorded in July...)

  2. Y'know, whenever I see a 1 block for Switcheroo, my knee-jerk will be to put that on the car.
Only rarely do we see a price in the teens.
