  1. Er, what was that new "Shelly Bonus Rule" again? I've never heard of it.

    1. In the past, if you got all four SPs correctly, you (naturally) automatically won the big prize but could also pick up a $500 bonus for picking the shell that had the ball under it (a 1:4 chance). About two seasons ago, that rule changed to where the bonus is now the cash value of the prize being offered; in this case, since the trip was valued at $10,430, the bonus was $10,430 in cash.

      For my bookkeeping purposes, this is considered bonus money, the same as a perfect bid or a Bonus Spin, and is not included in the total amount offered on an episode.
