Just a quick reminder before we begin that we're off tomorrow for the holiday, followed by a rerun on Friday. Reruns for most of next week too, although Monday will be a new special and Wednesday will be a make-good on a pre-emption.

Our guest star today is celebrity chef Marcella Valladolid, who'll be helping out here and there. And hey, look who's back in town today! (Told ya...)

Punch-a-Bunch:

But first, it's time for a True Hollywood Story: Before she became a famous chef, Marcela was actually a contestant on Price circa 2003, in which she slayed the dragon known as That's Too Much! -- and we've got the clip to prove it!

Oh... what the heck? Here's how it looked:

Picture-perfect, though of course we can't see what kind of car it was, possibly due to Model Issues of the kind we don't like to speak of around these parts. (Bob was, at least, kind enough to read the price tag aloud, which is how I filled in the blank here.)

Flashing forward to the present, however...

Today's gag will make you hungry, I'm sure... from left to right, we've got turkey, masched potates and gravy, cranberry sauce, green beans, and pumpkin pie. Mm-mmm, good...

Of course, a winning car price would look even better, so let's see about getting one in there...

I call $17,953. I don't know why, I just do.

Well, that's a rather pleasant surprise! It cuts it down to a 50:50 shot, 1 or 3 -- and I'm definitely feeling 1 more than 3 in this instance. But then, nobody's asking me to the Last Chance Saloon:

I know why they do it. I can understand it, even forgive it in many cases. But sooner or later, one would think it would have to filter down to Joe Plinko level that machines like this that are billed as cappucino makers (and not just coffee makers) are rather pricey indeed, especially the ones this show offers...

Liliana is here with a group of nurses from a Long Beach hospital, and she's playing in honor of a patient (Lilly Von) with childhood leukemia. That's awesome!

I would go with 4 in this position, actually. That's what my gut is telling me, on the grounds that we haven't seen a low number yet aside from the giveaway 1.

Tatiana, however, goes in the other direction with a 7. Fingers crossed...

1 comment:

  1. The full clip of Marcela's game of TTM! has her saying that she was on the show in 2004. Based on that, and based on the comments Barker makes ("Let's see if we can give away another one..." and "Showcase Showdown next!"), I believe that she played 6th. TTM! was played 6th a total of nine times in the 2004 calendar year (spanning Seasons 32-33). If you have any of the following episodes, you might have her original appearance.

    SEASON 32:
    3/3/04 - 2833K
    3/11/04 - 2844K
    4/2/04 - 2865K
    5/13/04 - 2914K
    5/27/04 - 2934K
    -----------------
    SEASON 33:
    10/26/04 - 3022K
    11/3/04 - 3033K
    11/16/04 - 3052K
    11/29/04 - 3071K
