Either $15,140 or $16,285 look avoidable to me in this lineup... I'd save that particular combo for last, then bail with what I had.

Okay, I probably wouldn't have done that, but she took a chance and it paid off for my purposes -- now, since I can eliminate one of my two candidates for the price of the car, I can actually play this one out to the end and win it all!

Pick #3: $18,965

CAR

$3,000

$4,000

Okay, I should do a full disclosure here. I actually had this result (though not the actual price of the car) spoiled for me earlier today, before I sat down to watch/recap this episode myself. I knew this game would be lost, I just didn't know how. Therefore I could still play along on my end, but that was such a nasty surprise for the car price that I actually wonder if anyone playing this game the way it was meant to be played (instead of the way I think is probably better now, as a blind-draw lottery ignoring the actual prices on the cards) had a prayer of winning this.

Also, seriously, someone teach Rob how to turn these cards over. Along the Y-axis, buddy. ;^)

Janice will be taking a special Cyber Monday Express to Leftover Island unless she can make the most of the advantage on this last one-bid.. and yes, you can enter to win this as well, if you so choose:

  2. What do you use as the threshold in Cliff Hangers, 20-30-40 or 25-35-45? Your final measurement indicates the latter, but I know in the past you've used the former. If it is the former, then the threshold today would be 25 (-5, -10, -10).

    1. I go with 20-30-40. And I think your math is off:

Corn dog maker: $25 (5 steps to 5)
      Toaster: $35 (5 steps to 10)
      Iron: $40 (Stays put)

Where do you get 25 from?
