Let's see if I can get through today's episode without a personal calamity for a change...

Hand is still hurting, but it's better than it was. I'll still be keeping my commentary to a comfortable minimum if I can possibly help it, however.

Side note: Kenyati's shirt has photos of Bill Cullen (on the Price set circa 1961), Bob Barker (a publicity photo from the late '70s or early '80s, I can't tell which), and Drew Carey (apparently a high-school yearbook pic)... but proclaims them all to be "CBS Legends." Only problem with that: Uncle Bill's Price was never a CBS show. It was on NBC (1956-63) and ABC (1963-65).

And yes, I know I'm nitpicking, but eh. S'what I do.

So the one number I was convinced he had wrong turned out to be the only number he had right (discounting the freebie). And we're off to an amazing start.

Our new Rowbird hasn't taken the number off her nametag yet, but Drew helps her take care of that little detail.

Of the three, the washer and dryer struck me as being the LEAST likely... still, jewelry collections are kind of random-number generators sometimes, so it could have panned out.

Showcases: Judy (true) top winner, Kenyati runner-up.

Before we begin, however, we have some news to report: You see above, where Judy took a Wheelie during the Spin-Off? You couldn't really tell from the Showdown segment as broadcast, but it turns out she actually hurt her right ankle pretty badly on that. In fact, when we come back from commercial she's on crutches with her ankle all wrapped up. Once the show's over, they're actually going to take her to a nearby hospital to get her ankle looked at, but she insisted on staying for the Showcases. To accomodate her, we're actually playing the Showcases in front of the Turntable set and not actually on it, so she doesn't have to use the steps to get behind her podium. She and Kenyati are still standing in their correct positions, with the podia just behind them.

Between Judy's ankle, Catherine getting attacked by the Wheel yesterday, and my own hand injury, I'm half tempted to call this the "Walking Wounded Recap" and be done with it. (Hey... you gotta laugh, right?)
