I don't know about you guys, but I'm starting to get worried. (On another track, when was the last time two different products were the same price in this or any other GP game? Besides Pick-a-Pair, of course...)

This one's tough. I'm gonna go with the ATV, however, just because the prices on the other two don't feel like traps. Honestly the ATV doesn't either, but it feels the most like a trap out of the three of 'em.

That "unwanted woodland creature" I mentioned earlier just got stripier and stripier. And smellier and smellier. And closer and closer...

Not only are we on Four-Alarm Fumigation Alert, but lest we forget, Catrena is also on the verge of banishment to Leftover Island. On the other hand, unless something changes dramatically in this last spot, she may just be getting out of the studio in time. Let's at least hope for the best on this last one-bid.

While Catrena goes off to get her passport stamped, the fate of the studio -- and the several dozen industrial-size drums of tomato juice we keep on hand for just such an emergency -- now rests on the shoulders of Gretchen. It's all up to her to spare us the indignity of a skunking, with Coming or Going:
Trip to Montego Bay, Jamaica (6n, Secrets St. James Montego Bay Resort & Spa, inner tube adventure; RR)

I never knew inner tubes could be classified as "adventurous." I may have to reclassify the lazy river at my local waterpark. ;^)

SKUNKED!

And there's no Get Out of Jail Free card this time, folks. This is a bona fide, undisputable skunkjob, with no Partial Win hair-splitting on my part to put an asterisk on it.

Sigh. Well, one week ago we had our first perfect show in quite some time, so I guess it's only fair that we get one of the opposite number. The cosmic balance must be maintained and all that. But this had better not be the beginning of a trend.

The stink of the skunk is mitigated slightly by the good showings in the Showcase Showdowns and the pricier Showcase being the one that was won. (A random question for the floor: Has there ever been an 0-for-6 show that ended in a DSW? We know from just a few years ago, there have been at least two true "El Skunkos," as seems to be a popular term, where a winless day was capped by a DOB.)

Nevertheless, this was a major smack in the face back to reality after the euphoria of last week. Let's hope for better tomorrow... things could get worse, but they'd have to work at it. Until then, amigos...

    1. ...Which I acknowledged. What I wanted to know was if there was ever a skunking that ended in someone winning both Showcases.
