Thought he passed it at $23,623, myself -- mostly because that's pretty much a stock Wrangler Sport. Still, this seems plausible too.

And why does this count as a loss and not a "partial win?" Because in this game, as with all others that offer a bailout option, "partial wins" only count if you take the buyout. If you go all the way to the end, it's strictly pass/fail: Either you find the $10K or $25K slips, or you don't. Simple as that.

The good news is, at least he ended up with the biggest amount he punched, but it's still officially a loss in our record books.

Gotta love Robyn's T-shirt -- "No Trombones," indeed! With Studio 33 now on full-blown Smelly Woodland Creature Alert, we'd better not be hearing too many more trombones around here...

Now....or Then:
TrAshley bedroom group (Comfortaire Q) & Apple iPod Nano (16GB) w/Beats wireless speaker ($7,028; RR)

One of only four undefeated games we've got left this season, and one of those (Magic #) is only undefeated because it's only been seen once so far. This game, meanwhile, is now making its fourth appearance in Season 42.

  • Bumble Bee tuna salad kit
  • Celestial Seasonings Sleepytime Extra herbal tea (20 bags)
  • General Mills Honey Nut Cheerios cereal
  • Jolly Time popcorn
  • Egg-Land's Best large eggs (1 doz)
  • Jelly Belly jellybeans (40 flavors/9.8oz)

...No real anachronisms this time, although that specific variety of Celestial Seasonings tea is I believe a new one. Sleepytime itself was around in 1997, however.

C-C-C-COMBO BREAKER!

Double Cross:
  1. Kymco Compagno 110 motor scooter (RR)
  2. Inspire multistation home gym (AL)
Hmm... this one's actually tough. $3,124 for the motor scooter doesn't quite feel right, but $4,295 feels the most right for the home gym, and what did I say the other day about eliminating the impossible?

Robyn's boyfriend Duane, in the Peanut Gallery, says it's correct just in its default position ($5,312/$2,950), but Robyn briefly flirts with my own placement before acceding to her significant other's judgment.

First instincts, people... first instincts. So much for Robyn's T-shirt...
