TPiRecap: 25 March 2014

Yesterday's episode was aired out of order, presumably because of the time-sensitive nature of the Dancing With the Stars tie-in. The episode originally scheduled for yesterday will now air on 15 May, the originally-slotted airdate for what we saw yesterday. All pertinent information has been updated and corrected in yesterday's post.

Let's do this...

Well! That was certainly an unexpected -- not to mention awesome -- way to start the day! (See, folks? It can be done.)

STILL SPOTLESS!

With only about 13½ more weeks to go, Shelly might be our best hope for ending Season 42 with a game that posts an 0-fer in the loss column -- our first in several years. (Come to think of it... what has happened to Magic #? It's only been played once this season so far, according to my notes...)

Hmm... it's not as bad off as I thought it'd be, actually. Obviously it would've been so much better if he'd gotten that first pair right, but this... isn't terrible either. We know the first digit's 2, obviously, so we can ignore that... unfortunately, that leaves us with sixteen possible combinations for the third and fourth numbers, and all sixteen of them are just about equally likely.

So I guess it boils down to how lucky Jorge's feeling right now...

EVIL LOSS

ARGH! He had the right numbers, but in the wrong order!

In case I haven't made it obvious, I HATE this game. With a passion.

Our bid for a perfect show may have been spoiled, but we can still avoid an F4 if Daniel's up to the task in this last spot...

So once again, it's an evil game like Stacky that screws up our bid for a perfect show -- but how can I stay mad at an episode where Cover Up was won quite so dramatically? Besides, Jorge came closer to winning that mess than most contestants do, so I can't even be too upset over that unless I want to curse the Fates (and I don't mean Gil).
