TPiRecap: 4 March 2014 (Dancing With the Recapper?)

The reports are true; our intrepid host has indeed been named to the cast of Dancing With the Stars for the upcoming season. And while shows such as that are truthfully outside both my area of expertise and the scope of this blog -- so you probably shouldn't expect, for instance, reports here on how well Drew is doing on the dance floor -- it should still be at least interesting to see.

In any event, let's do this thing today...

WIN!

Holy Grand Game, Batman! (Note that the lettering on the $10K slip seems to be peeling off slightly... been that long, has it?)

"That used to be the top prize in this game!" comments Drew. And remember the Fudge Rule for this game -- $10,000 counts as a win just as much as $25,000. Which we're still waiting on seeing for the first time, incidentally. If only there were some way to shut up the Tinfoil Brigade on the subject of whether or not there even is a $25K slip on the board... In any case, if the bells and sirens emanating from the sound suite are any indication, the show would agree with me on this point anyway, so there's really little use in arguing at this stage; whether you agree with it or not, it is what it is.

With at least two more chances to fill in the tens digit, and you can safely rule out the zero, things are looking decidedly rosy for Matthew here.

(Game package: $659; Piggy Bank: $3.01)

Well, I was wrong about the zero (I would've bet the house, the car, and the dog on zero being the last digit of the Vita stuff), but I can't complain about a win like that!

Between yesterday's six-figure bonanza and the first two games today, last week's skunking seems quite far away indeed. (Yeah, just watch, now I jinxed it.)
