Luckily for my sanity, Adam gets on stage now -- if he lived up to his T-shirt's implied boast that he was gonna bid $1 for everything, I think I might have set a new world distance record for the Flatscreen Toss.

Pattern recognition helps -- nine out of ten times, the prize values only increase as you go, so #3 was fairly easy.

But now, the ultimate coin-flip proposition...

Another case where I'm glad I was wrong! (I was all but ready to concede the car was in the $19-20K window -- stock, you know.) We're having a good week for car games so far, just one lost out of five played!

Pretty obvious what needed to be done here, I thought.

My only concern is, with two relatively easy games, I fear what's coming for the car spot next. At least it can't be Stack the Deck (since we've already had our GP game), but there's still a possibility of That's Too Much! or even Temptation...

Meanwhile, with all the winning going on, Charlie and Yatsely are still sitting in the Row right where they were when Drew came through the doors. And you know what that means. At least one of them is headed for Leftover Island, and possibly both. This is their last chance to escape that unkind fate; Yatsely has the advantage, however, so if you're a betting person you might want to lean in her direction. But, we'll see what happens...

But, instead, it's Yatsely who ends up on the Island, while Charlie escapes in time for... well, it's not That's Too Much! at least, but it's another game with an unkind record this year, One Away:

  • Five, as in "high five": Bowflex tread climber (AL)
  • LG 50" plasma HDTV w/screen cleaning kit (AL)
  • Six, a good number for cylinders: 2014 Ford Mustang V6 coupe (3.7L, 6AT, paint/fabric prot; RR)
Ruth passes; Hollice bids $36,500.
(My bid: $25,940)

Ruth, if ever there was an appropriate time to bid $1 on a Showcase, this is it...

2. Tri-Costal
  • Trip to Seattle, WA (6n, The Westin Seattle; AL)
    • 1 meal
    • In-room massage
    • Mt Rainier tour
  • Trip to Porto, Portugal (6n, Eurostars Rio Douro Hotel & Spa; AL)
    • Spa access
    • 1 dinner
  • Trip to Gold Coast, Queensland, Australia (6n, Surfers Paradise Marriott Resort & Spa; AL)

  1. It seems that the more recent playings of "More or Less" are busting the myth of "It's always less" in that game. I bet the Mythbusters were backstage today. (Jk.)
