TPiRecap: 16 June 2014

Closing in on the end... this week marks the last full week of legitimate first-run shows for Season 42. Beginning next Thursday we'll have three make-good reschedulings from earlier this year, after which will be the Fourth of July Spectacular and the Back to School special in August -- and that'll be all she wrote until 22 September when Season 43 kicks off.

But all of that's still to come. Let's make today happen...

No, I'm not paranoid, and yes, I do see a striped tail on the horizon. And with the car game coming up, too. This isn't looking good.

Nor is it looking good for Diane, who's on the verge of banishment. All we can do is hope for the best...

  1. Highlight of the day: In the front row of the audience, near the green podium, there were three women with shirts that said, in the style of those "keep calm and carry on" shirts, "I'm Hispanic. I can't keep calm!"

I bet the contestant coordinators got a shock out of that! xD

  2. Actually, next week is a full week of first run episodes, then July 3-4 are first run, then all Summer reruns until a break for the August 15, 2014 Back to School episode.

    1. They are first-run shows, yes... but the episodes airing 29-30 June and 3-4 July are make-good reschedulings from earlier in the season. Hence the distinction.

    2. ...Okay, okay, I screwed up those dates. Big time, as it happens. All will be explained in the next recap post, though, so don't worry.

  3. At least that's just the THIRD skunking of the season, S42 is turning out to be the first season in a while to have low skunking rates. What's the lowest, fellow Price fans?

    1. To be clear: It's three outright skunkjobs. If you take "partial wins," fudge rules, and bailouts out of the equation, it's actually seven episodes this season without a bona fide winner.
