TPiRecap: 27 June 2014

And so it comes to this, the end of our last full week of episodes. Next week, remember, we begin what has always been euphemistically called the "Priceless Summer," with the exception of next Wednesday (one more leftover make-good airing), next Friday (the annual Fourth of July Spectacular), and August 15th (the Back to School Special).

Once more unto the breach, dear friends...

We've established a veritable colony on Leftover Island this week, and Carla looks to be our latest arrival there. But she has this last chance to escape that, and the good news is, the advantage is all hers. Can she recover from her two suicide bids to open the show?

A last-second escape! Nice way to end any week, especially this one.

And not least because it's time to (hopefully) earn a little Gas Money:
2014 Volkswagen Beetle convertible R-line (2.0L turbo, 6AT, wind deflector, storage shelf, Bluetooth; RR)

Gas Money has been won only once in Season 42 -- but that one was quite the biggie, as it resulted in the biggest winner daytime Price has ever seen. If Carla makes it #2, she won't win quite that much, but as you can see from these potential prices, it's certainly nothing to sneeze at:

$29,200
$31,415
$32,735
$28,049
$30,550

My first gut instinct is to stay away from $28,049. It is also my second one. Not sure what my backup choice would be... I think in that case it'd end up being a total casino game.

Fingers crossed...
