TPiRecap: 24 September 2014 (Season 43 Premiere Week #3)

Well, as you may or may not have heard, some rather interesting news broke yesterday as it relates to exactly which game is getting that facelift. On the off chance you haven't heard, I'll keep it a spoiler for now and say no more, other than you'll find out what everyone's buzzing about come Friday. As for those of you who do know what's coming, rest assured that I have plenty I want to say about this, good and bad—but you'll have to wait until Friday to read about it. Not everyone who reads this blog necessarily wants to read spoilers for upcoming episodes, after all, and I have to cater to that crowd as well as those who know full well what to expect on Friday's show.

(Well. I will add in this one comment that's only cryptic to those who aren't in the know: You guys really rooked me on that one, and a lot of other people besides. Well played, sirs, wel played indeed.)

And so, onward...

The GPT is about a foot off the ground, and we know what that means... yep, Grand Game:

  • Healthy Choice Café Steamers frozen entrée
  • Hefty Odor Block kitchen drawstring trash bags (45)
  • Gold Bond powder spray
  • Libman Freedom multi-surface floor cleaner
  • Schiff MegaRed Omega-3 krill oil supplement (60 tablets)
  • Read German potato salad

Safe to say, the supplement is to be avoided at ALL costs, and the same can likely be said of the Gold Bond. This should be a fairly easy win, as Grandy setups go of late.

But, we'll see.

Actually, when I saw the floor cleaner's price, I changed my own mind about the Gold Bond -- I knew there had to be one GP on the table that knocked on the door of the target price, and my gut reminded me that trash bags are often very deceptively expensive around here.

1 comment:

  1. Yeah, I remembered the Beetle near the very end of last season ($31,000 or so in a playing of Gas Money) and it was a definite underbid, even taking into account that it was more of a baseline model today.

Rough start to the season on car giveaways. At least one was practically guaranteed in today's showcases.

Outstandingly played Grand Game by Liese!
