TPiRecap: 22 October 2014

First of all, I need to apologize for the overly snarky, confrontational way I concluded the recap yesterday. Exhaustion on both the physical and mental levels can make a guy do strange things, things he later regrets deeply, and that was an example. I'm okay now, though.

As I said at the end of yesterday's recap, things can only improve from there. Let's hope...

Oh, look—I guess we had a car in the garage that wasn't quite good enough for Dream car Week, so let's play 3 Strikes for it now:
2014 Cadillac ATS (2.0L turbo, 6AT, luxury pkg, Sun & Sound pkg, cold weather pkg, wheel & tire prot; GOS)

(I am, of course, only kidding about the "not good enough" bit. It's called "humor," folks. Look into it.)

I appreciated seeing 3 Strikes make its season debut... but why'd it have to be in the midst of a major slump? That rarely if ever augurs well.

Swap Meet may help our W-L record, but it certainly won't do much to keep me awake:
  1. Frigidaire side-by-side refrigerator (GOS)
  2. Rayos electric bicycle (GOS)
  3. Sony 60" LED Smart HDTV (GG)

Swap Prize: Canon EOS 60D DSLR camera (RR)

The camera's most likely around $700 to $1,200, which makes the bike the most likely candidate for swapping.

Right in line with what I figured...

WIN!
(Refrigerator: $2,399; LED HDTV: $2,000 [1])

Unfortunately we're back to the director not showing the full ARP reveal in this game, leaving me Googling around. Luckily the fridge price was panned over just long enough for me to catch it, meaning I only had to search up the TV price.

But hey, the good news is, we broke that ten-game losing streak we had! That certainly counts for something. And of all games, it's one of my least favorites that does it. Go figure, eh? ^^;

As tempting as it is to go with the most expensive option... the rule about avoiding doubled digits if at all possible goes even more so for trebled digits. Pick the 6.

It's Leanna's last chance to escape from the Leftover Island shuttle, and with a car at stake in this spot (SPOILER: We haven't played our car game yet in this half), now would be an opportune moment...

Oh, dear. Another tough choice; that's five grand right there. However, unlike the last time we saw a considerable amount of money on the first roll, Gloria actually has two more rolls to play with. Plenty of chances for the other four CARs to show up.

Man, talk about having your cake and eating it too. But even so, getting this much money in this game is tough to pass up. Hard to blame her, really.

    1. Maybe,maybe not. I just saw your most recent comment on Game Show Paradise and I really don't like how took a shot at me. You need to delete that.

    2. I took no shot at you that I'm aware of. Unless claiming that you and Michael Taylor aren't the same person is now defined as "taking a shot."

    3. I am not Michael Taylor. Just delete that comment and leave Michael alone.

    4. Shaun, why are you so bound and determined to be a pompous ass?

      Tell you what—I'll stop taking "shots" at Michael if you stop taking shots at, well, everyone else on the planet, or so it seems. Deal?

  3. So, Tedious and Numbing™, we meet again. Here I was, hoping the producers retired both you and Ten Chances (which got played last week). This is what I get for hoping! Can I get rid of both of you and replace you with the far-superior Professor Price and Double Digits? -_-;
