Well, that was different... can't say as I expected the immediate bailout. A painful one as it turned out, but it's not like he could've known that.

With the posted Danger Price, I can't decide whether it's the watches or the guitar that needs to be avoided. Might even be the TV; it is the cheap brand.

Range Game:
Trip to Calgary, AB (6n, The Banff Aspen Lodge, daily breakfast, rental car; GOS)

Well, give her credit for guts at least; I can't remember the last time I saw anyone push the Range Finder that high on the ol' scale. Or maybe she just lost track of her surroundings. Either way, this isn't good.

Random thought: I wonder if this game would be made easier or harder if one simple running change was made to it: Instead of picking your digits immediately after winning a freebie, you wait until after you've played all three GP pairs. It's a very little thing, but it could make a positive difference in difficulty, as you wouldn't have to make this selection without knowing which other digits, if any, you'll get to play with.

(See, this is why I prefer to see if bad games can somehow be rehabbed instead of scrapped outright; thought experiments are much more fun. More constructive, too, even if they're not as cathartic as hacking the prop to pieces with a very dull axe would admittedly be...)

Based on what's been revealed so far, I'm thinking $17,653. We'll see.

(Rachel's still rockin' the Look of the Week)

WE WERE BOTH WAY OFF

Mental note: It was the Golf that was the VW cheapie, not the Jetta. That's what confused me. As for this result, see above comment about "a very dull axe" for my emotional gut reaction, and my "rehab" comment for my more rational one.

Once again, we have someone about to become an F4. Once again, that someone has the last-bid advantage going into this final IUFB.

...and once again, nothing can beat perfection.

Do the Math:

  2. Apple MacBook Pro (8GB RAM, 256GB Flash, HP printer; GOS)
That grill we just saw a few days ago, and it was ridonkulously expensive. Easily more than that lappy. Subtraction is the way to go here.

Michelle subtracts...

See? ^^;

And we wrap up this truncated week tomorrow...

1 comment:

  1. I would vent my rage on Stack the Deck, but that would be a waste since I did that last week.

In regard to yesterday's show, I don't know if you had this $100,000 Pay The Rent combination, but I thought I'd post it anyway...

    MAILBOX: Shake-N-Bake $4.49
    1st FLOOR: Mouthwash -- $4.99 + Couscous -- $2.99 = $7.98
    2nd FLOOR: Dryer Sheets -- $6.99 + Baby Food -- $1.29 = $8.28
    ATTIC: Pain Reliever $8.49
