TPiRecap: 17 November 2014

Sorry about all the comment drama, folks. To make a long story short, comments have been re-enabled and I've imposed new filters that should keep the worst troublemakers from even showing up in my queue... and just in case they should fail, I've reinstated my zero-tolerance policy for the worst of the lot.  You (and they) know who they are, so I won't bother naming names.

Now that we've put all of that behind us, let's continue. Incidentally, it doesn't look as if I'm going to miss any time this week due to the family issue I briefly mentioned the other day, so we should be good until the Thanksgiving break. And so...

It's In the Bag:
  • Diamond chopped pecans (8 oz)
  • Gulden's spicy brown mustard (12 oz)

After the obvious first two, I'd say $7.99 for the pecans (which are often shockingly expensive), $2.69 for the mustard, and $3.99 for the popcorn.

And apparently, Stacie is of like mind with myself, because that's exactly the arrangement she goes with...

Honestly, though, it's hard to blame her. A tough game, a college student, and an eight-grand sure thing versus the chance of going bust? As sure of myself as I was, I think I might've done the same thing.

I can never remember if the Jetta or the Golf is the real cheapie in the VW line. Nonetheless, it's a stock model, so I'm gravitating towards the $17K or $18K prices.

1 comment:

  1. FYI, the Golf's the cheapie in the VW lineup, being a hatchback. The Jetta, being a considerably larger sedan, is more expensive.
A similar comparison using Toyotas would be the Yaris and the Camry, respectively.
