Here's a novelty for ya—it's Bullseye, a game with a stellar winning record, for a pricey car:
2015 Nissan Altima (2.5L, Xtronic CVT; $24,035; RR)

  • Néstlé Nesquik chocolate milk mix (16 oz)
  • Chap Stick lip balm
  • Betty Crocker Ultimate mashed potatoes
  • Mean Green Super Strength cleaner & degreaser
  • Ken's Steak House salad dressing

Naturally, the GPs are toughies, although it's possible to win if you keep your head. If not, then the best thing to do is to play it like a game of chance; pick any three random items, buy one of each just to get on the board, and hope one of them has the Bullseye behind it. Playing it this way tilts the odds 3-2 in your favor, which is almost as good as you can hope to get in the ol' BBS.

But let's see what happens:

As I said, 3-2 in Jefferson's favor. Let's hope it pans out...

IT DOES!

Not only is that a great win, but with that we guarantee that we'll have at least three unbeaten games remain so after this week!

George proclaime our next Rowbird has "the greatest name ever, it's... CLASSIE LEMONS!" Well, who am I to argue with that, eh? ^^;

A side effect of the Walmartization of our economy, an undesirable one as far as The Price is Right is concerned, is that it creates so many false impressions of what things are actually worth. We see so many El Cheapo knife sets from the likes of Farberware and the imported-from-China store house label of your choice, that we tend to forget there are professional-grade equivalents out there, and those still go for the proverbial pretty penny.

What I'm trying to say here is that bidding like these on high-end Wüsthof knives is understandable. Frustrating, but understandable.

Bargain Game:
  1. Dacor gas range (Plessers.com; RR)
  2. Dell 27" touchscreen computer (8GB RAM, 2TB HD, 32GB SSD, HP printer; KM)

As much as I think the computer is the cheaper of the two, I also think it's the biggest bargain. I'm willing to stake my blood on it.

...So of course, I'm picking the range, just because my gut has been giving me false signals more often than not lately. XD

That's the other thing I'd really like to see people learn. Remember the rule is to be the closest to the ARP without going over. Vina's bid would be good strategy if and only if the "without going over" part wasn't an integral part of the game. The only thing bidding $1 less than someone else accomplishes is shooting yourself in the foot.

...And once again a "discrepancy" was found that didn't affect the outcome of any game. Is it too much to ask for a little more transparency in these full-disclosure statements, Fremantle?

At any rate, see you tomorrow...
