It was admittedly a slight scare to see the $1,400 jump between hockey table and TV, but you needn't have worried; this one was pretty simple, really. And off to the races we go...

Drew: "What's with the five all the time with the car prices?" Actually, for about fifteen years, give or take a couple, most car prices tended to end with zeroes, fives, or nines. Not so much since 2005 or so, mind you, but it's still ingrained into a lot of peoples' minds like a knee-jerk reflex.

Then again... XD

Looking pretty good now, actually; all that's necessary is to suss out that hundreds digit, and my gut says it's 4. But we'll see.

If Donna rules out the zero as she should, she'll have three chances and 3-1 odds in her favor of completing the car price. This is about as good as Any Number can get, honestly.

And bang goes another one of my gut reactions. But she's still sitting pretty, as long as she doesn't call zero...

The price $5,345 seems to jump out at me right off. (Also, there's a very obvious edit here between Drew's spiel and Barbara going over to the lever; just note the position of the wheel between consecutive shots.)

Of note: We haven't banished anyone to Leftover Island so far this week. If that turns out to be the case tomorrow as well, we'll have our first clean sheet of the season as far as that's concerned.

Time is Money:
  • Whink Cook Top cleaner
  • Garland Jack's Secret Six barbecue sauce
  • Arm & Hammer pure baking soda (2 lb)
  • Zatarain's yellow rice
  • Capzasin-HP arthritis pain relief creme

If it's me, I'm putting the pain relief in the expensive bin, the baking soda and BBQ sauce in the cheap one, and everything else—including the cleaner—in the center.

First, it's Denise's ten seconds for the top prize...

They've actually got little ARP placards in the bins now, which is honestly the only thing this game was missing. (The original Time is Money had price reveals, albeit visually-confusing ones.)

Well, that and another winner, of course. We started today off so well, too...

  1. You know something? I think the new Time is Money should be retired as well because I'm not sure if this game will produce a single winner anytime soon. I just can't handle too many contestants not winning a single penny.

    1. "Too many contestants not winning a single penny?"

FYI, Time is Money has been played four times this season, and is 2-2 in terms of paying out money—and both times it did pay out, it did so to the tune of well over $10K. In fact, the first such winner took home nearly every penny of the full $20,000 ($19,438).

Don't take this question the wrong way, but what planet are you living on? Don't you think it's way too soon into this game's (second) life to start writing it off like that?

Bullseye 1 was retired after just nine days in the rotation and only five playings.

Professor Price was retired after just a WEEK and only TWO playings!

Telephone Game was retired after just three playings and a month in the rotation.

So, no, it's NEVER too early to retire a game, Devin.

That being said, if they retired Time is Money now, I'd probably riot! ._.
