Lance is standing on the $, so that must mean it's time to Pay the Rent:
  • David pumpkin seeds (5 oz)
  • El Torito salad dressing
  • Dunkin' Donuts coffee (11 oz)
  • Cesar Savory Delights dog food (3.5 oz)
  • Gold Bond Ultimate Diabetic lotion
  • Claussen sauerkraut (52 fl oz)

Very tough this time. Usually it's pretty obvious which one should go in the attic as the most expensive, but this time it could be either the coffee or the lotion. I'm crossing my fingers and holding my breath while I put this together...

My Arrangement:
Mailbox: Lotion
1st Floor: Pumpkin seeds + Dressing
2nd Floor: Dog food + Sauerkraut
Attic: Coffee

...and you just know that no stage player will ever pick that. But let's just see what happens...

(MA sends, RR receives)

STOP
(Lotion: $6.29)

Solution #1:
Mailbox: Sauerkraut = $4.99
1st Floor: Lotion ($6.49) + Dog food (99¢) = $7.48
2nd Floor: Dressing ($4.29) + Pumpkin seeds ($3.49) = $7.78
Attic: Coffee = $9.49

How I Did:
Mailbox: Lotion = $6.49
1st Floor: Pumpkin seeds ($3.49) + Dressing ($4.29) = $7.78
2nd Floor: Dog food (99¢) + Sauerkraut ($4.99) = $5.98
Attic: Coffee = $9.49

Typical... the stage player falls for the "least expensive item must go in the mailbox" trap. Fortunately, these seem to be becoming rarer. And hey, ten grand is ten grand, so I can't voice too much disapproval of this.

For some reason, I find myself liking $19,820 the most—but I know that's obviously wrong, since 20 needs to be one of the three choices for the front. I'd just be throwing darts blindfolded if this were given to me.

Well, I got that part right, at least. Now if we were to rule out 21, 20, and 43, that leaves a 4:5 chance of finding the back of the car... and I'm even willing to bet we can rule out 44, since I doubt even Mike at his most evil would pull that stunt (having it be something worth only a buck more than the season-number Easter egg). But let's watch it play out...

It's like a dental nightmare this week... Attack of the Partials, this Christmas at a grindhouse near you! This one crossed me up a few different ways; I would've bet money the shoes were $686 after the first try, then after the second I thought maybe the camcorder should've been $2,070.

Master Key—I was afraid of this when it dawned on me we hadn't seen a trip yet today:
  1. Two sets of TourEdge HP11 golf clubs w/bags & range finder (BuyDig.com; $890 [1]; MA)
  2. Trip to Carmel, CA (5n, Quail Lodge & Golf Club, daily breakfast, 1 dinner, 1 round of golf; price impossible to determine; MA)
  3. 2015 Scion tC (2.5L, 6MT, FWD; $19,980 [2]; RR)

There are some days when I feel as though this show hates it when people like me keep detailed stats, and thus will offer things like trips and accessory packages in games like this where the ARP is never revealed. But that's usually when I snap out of the paranoid delusion and re-enter reality. Still, it would be nice, y'know?

Well. That, I believe, is a first—three partials (by this blog's definition) on the day, and no outright losses. I'm sure this will re-open debate over whether or not I'm too lenient about these things.

I just noticed that the little "flipper" part of the big red arrow now has some silvery paint on the front. Or maybe it just needs to be redone. (Possibly both; while the paint job does look intentional, it also looks as if it's starting to wear off a little bit.) I'm not saying this is new for this episode or even this taping block; I'm only saying that this is the first time I've noticed it. Weird.

    1. Ah, so it was accidental. I thought maybe it was, but the resulting effect did look a bit like the semi-glittery paint job the Range Finder got a few years back in Range Game, so I also thought it was possibly an intentional redesign that wasn't taking. ...If that made any sense.
