TPiRecap: 24 December 2014 (Christmas Week #3)

Before we begin, a note of housekeeping. Tomorrow, of course, is Christmas Day, and as per usual, that show will be a repeat, so no recap from me. I will try to get one done on Friday, but it is entirely possible that may not happen; if that proves to be the case, expect a delayed report sometime Saturday afternoon/evening, or perhaps even as late as Sunday. One way or another, however, I will do #6824K for you, so don't worry about that. Your patience is appreciated and will be rewarded, I assure you.

And as for today's festivities...

HO HO HO!

I needn't have worried! And this game stays unblemished for at least one more week...

Incidentally, before we continue, I just want to give a quick shout-out to this limited edition T-shirt created by the fine folks at BuzzerBlog and sold through teespring.com, featuring one of the most legendary faces—and numbers—in game show history. You don't have to memorize any gameboard patterns to get your own, but time is running out, so I wouldn't advise you to press your luck much longer if you want one. Only $20 (+s/h) for yours.

And now that that's out of the way...

  2. LG ultra-capacity washer & dryer w/wicker hamper (AL)
  3. Bradley digital smoker w/bisquettes

Argh! Painful!

Interesting symmetry regardless: Yesterday, only the car games were won. Today, everything but the car games were won. Put 'em together and you've got a perfect show, somehow. Maybe that's the best way to take it?

And I heard George exclaim, ere this show faded from sight,
"Season's Greetings to all, from your friends at The Price is Right!"

Well, okay, George didn't actually say that, but it's the only way I could make that gag work. Regardless, it's a sentiment we certainly echo here at the Towers. Merry Christmas, Happy Haunnakah, Happy Kwanzaa, Happy whatever-it-is-you're-having!

Hope to be back here sometime on Friday, but if not, keep checking back over the weekend... See you then! In the meantime, I'll have some eggnog in you guys' honor...

  1. Merry Christmas, Devin! I hope it's a great one, and God Bless you, sir!

  2. i expected triple play ending instantly the way it did, i think for it to be won it must be set up with cars that a contestant can price, a Fiat 500 pop, a Dodge Dart SE, and a Jeep Wrangler Sport 4x4 are not appropriate cars to set the game up with. for a winning play i would have removed the Fiat, and i would replaced the thing with a Kia Optima, and left the other two in.

    1. I would have done a kia optima, dodge grand caravan, and a jeep grand cherokee (which has never been given away on the stage).

  3. Nice job on this show, and nice job you have done throughout 2014. Here's hoping 2015 goes as well if not better! Merry Christmas, Devin!
