($20,705; ¡VĂva El Cheapo!)

I have to ask. Is the Easter egg really that attractive a number that so many people lately are picking it? Or are we just going out of our way to select contestants that are least likely to know the little quirks of the show, such as the season-number gag or the existence of El Cheapo as a "thing?" Is there any sort of rational explanation for this recent phenomenon that doesn't eventually come back to some cockamanie "tank-the-show" delusion of paranoia?

$6,205 seems a mite too much for LA-to-Denver... so, employing reverse psychology, I should go with Denver.

However, I feel this is a case of reverse reverse psychology, so it's Puerto Rico for me. Let's see what happens with Alexandra...

    1. A bit harsher than I would put it, but I cannot disagree with your basic premise.

  2. Yeah, CH, MG, and TiM were just disastrous.
Meanwhile I'm wondering, when was the last showcase that offered multiple cars? All that's coming to my mind was that "Echo" showcase from the Davidson '94 era, but I'm pretty sure that's nowhere close...

    1. There was a Valentine's Day show that offered two Chevy Sparks in 2013 I believe. I remember this because of how absurdly low the combined total was.
