"HONK!" "BEEP!" "TOOT!" "AWOOGA!" This game does so like to blow its own horn...

$16,000 is so obvious that the Cover Up Strategy™ could easily be employed here, with a first bid of $36,xyz. Only makes sense, right, to guarantee yourself at least one additional "safe" chance at finding those tougher digits?

Classic good-news-bad-news sitch. Good news, you got the ones digit right off, which helps. Bad news, if you'd employed the Cover Up Strategy™ you could've hade one free go at the hundreds and tens columns, further increasing your chances.

This is what I'm talking about. If she'd taken my advice, she would've absolutely gotten a third chance at those middle digits, and the 1:12 chance she had of finding them on the third chance (1:3 for the hundreds column, 1:4 for the tens) would've been cut neatly in half, to 1:6 (1:2 hundreds, 1:3 tens). Would it have guaranteed her a win? Certainly not, but it would have improved her odds quite a bit, and that's the point.

Cover Up is not an overly difficult game... if you play it smartly. Sadly, almost no one does, which I ascribe to getting lost in the moment. That's understandable, given most of us don't usually play these games under studio lights, in front of cameras, with 200 or so people screaming at you, and with the prospect of a few million people watching at home. Never underestimate the power of nerves.

We may not be populating Leftover Island today, but we are staring down the barrel of an imminent tomato-juice bath unless things improve dramatically in this spot...

Drew finally articulates what I've been saying for months now: "I don't think people realize how expensive knives are nowadays, it's ridiculous!" Indeed, the Walmartization of America has much to answer for in terms of how it's affected The Price is Right...

Meanwhile, Bernard represents our last chance to escape fumigation, and he'll have to do it with Make Your Move:
  1. Set of 3 KitchenAid nested mixing bowls (AL)
  2. T-Fal countertop kitchen appliance selection (AL)
  3. The KitchenAid Triangle of Terror (MO)

SKUNKED!
(4th this season)

I was wondering why I was told from a certain quarter that if I recapped today's episode I would regret it. I regret nothing. Naturally I'm not pleased about the skunkjob, but I still had fun, and isn't that what it's all about, really?
