TPiRecap: 23 February 2015

For those who were here on Friday, saw a long-winded diatribe, and are now wondering what happened to it, I simply decided I didn't want or need all that negativity in my permanent archive. Suffice to say that the rant served its purpose, the people who needed to see it have seen it, including the subject of the rant (no, Alex, it wasn't you, so relax), and all is right with my corner of the world now. I've flushed it all out of my system, so why don't we never speak of this again and just get back to doing what we do best around these parts?

And so...

Note: Just like the Showcase Showdown, an asterisk (*) in front of a die roll here indicates an "incomplete" roll; that is to say, the player didn't roll the die completely over the foul line.

I'd say this looks pretty good, wouldn't you? The only thing that really concerns me is that hundreds digit, which could easily be 6...

On an entirely unrelated note, the total haul in Secret "X" today, including the SPs, is $13,878. Do you realize that's only $1,785 less than the car offered in Dice Game? Just to put that win in perspective a little.

Well, I suppose it was his turn after all. ;^)

Flip Flop:
Inspire multistation home gym & Samsung 55" 3D LED HDTV w/2 pairs of glasses & wall mount (RR)

Given that the TV can't possibly be more than three grand, max, and the home gym's probably around three and a half, $6,8xx seems the way to go. And I will suggest $6,825 as being slightly more likely, given that Inspire gyms usually end in -5 and TVs are virtually always -00s... but you never know. $8,625 seems right out however.

For his part, Michael merely Flips rather than Flip Flops...

Hole in One (or Two), which has surprisingly been in a bit of a slump lately:
2015 Honda Civiↄ LX (1.8L, CVT, rearview camera; $19,910; GOS)

  • Mean Green Super Strength cleaner
  • Udderly SMOOth body cream
  • Olive & Co. extra virgin olive oil (750 mL)
  • Bear Creek tortilla soup mix
  • Ben & Jerry's strawberry cheesecake ice cream (4 fl oz)
  • Pringles Fat Free potato crisps

My thoughts: Potato crisps → Ice cream → Soup mix → Body cream → Olive oil → Cleaner.

Potato crisps
Ice cream
Soup mix
Cleaner
Body cream
Olive oil
$3.29
$1.49

WTF is up with that price? Around here, if you pay more than a buck and a half for Pringles, you got taken! >_<

Drew's Inspiration Putt (with George Gray commentary):
Picture-perfect, and accompanied by some bells from the suite!

Brooke's First Putt:
Picture-perfect... until it hits the hole, where it caroms right out! >_< That hurt.

Brooke's Second Putt:
One, two, thee, four bounces off the backstop... none of which do any good.

$18,000 doesn't even come close to covering the truck by itself. Those of you living in fear of the DOB can safely put away your warding amulets, they won't be needed today.

Where in the bloody HELL did you get the idea that I thought it WAS me!?! I knew who you were talking about in your now-deleted mile-long rant on February 20th, and you and Mandoli really need to stop acting like I don't! Ò_Ó

    1. Okay, I apologize for misunderstanding. No need to get hostile.

I am curious, though... IIRC you also flipped out a little bit at me when the attacks of the person in question drove me to disabling comments here altogether temporarily. And now with this, it has me almost wondering if I'm not somehow the "bad guy" in all of this, at least in the way I'm choosing to go about getting this lunatic to stop hounding me and my friends, none of whom ever did this guy any conscious harm until after he decided to turn into Public Enemy #1. How do you deal with a troll for whom even starving has no discernible effect? Because, believe me, silence only seems to make him bolder.

    2. ...Yeah, in retrospect, I admit that that particular "flip-out" was a very BAD idea, and that I shouldn't have done it. Thanks to some bad experiences in my life, when I feel like I'm being unfairly punished for someone else's actions, that can set me off pretty badly when, in some cases, it probably shouldn't. :(
