Fashion Week #4

For those who aren't too jazzed about this gimmick, just relax; it'll be over after tomorrow... For now, we take it to Nancy O'Dell and Rachel at the Plinko Runway:

1. JM Couture strapless satin evening gown w/matching pumps (RR)
(You know, aside from being strapless and sleeveless, that's not too different from what Jan, Dian, and Holly would have worn in the '80s...)

Shell Game:
Twelve Hammitt leather designer handbags & $3,000 cash ($7,835; RR)

As an interesting aside, even the regular prize here contains a cash add-on; we're talking a total of $10,835 potentially available in cash here, if the perfect-play rule comes into play. (It probably won't, but I thought it worth mentioning anyway.)

Well... it almost came into play. Still, with a 75% chance of being right, it would take incredibly lousy luck to not have this pan out in Vickie's favor...

So Much For Our Win Streak:
2015 Kia Rio LX (1.6L, 6AT, FWD, rear bumper appliqué; RR)

As much as it may be tempting to do so, I can't find it in my heart to fault Drew for calling this "one of [his] favorite games." Hey, I'll go on record as saying one of my favorite games is Five Price Tags, and you all know the levels of frustration that one's caused in the recent past. Everyone's tastes are different. ^^;;

To the matter at hand...

$15,140
$19,745
$16,015
$17,200
$18,600

I'm actually trending toward $16,105 in this lineup, though it could be any of the three lesser amounts. Pretty sure it won't be $18K or $19K. Good luck... you'll need it...

Pick #1: $15,140
$2000
Go on...
$2,000
$19,745

Pick #2: $19,745

STOP
$2,000
$3,000
$16,015
$17,200

CAR
$4,000
$1,000

Can't say I blame him, even though my hunch turned out to be correct. Given Gas Money's less-than-stellar reputation, I probably would've bailed too—though I might've picked off that $18K price, since it looked pretty unlikely from the word go, and gotten that extra cash too. Still, it's hard to find fault here unless you're of the militant "no guts no glory" wing of fandom.

Most Expen$ive:
  1. Celebration Spas 2-person infrared sauna (RR)
  2. Boosted electric skateboard w/helmet (MA)
  3. Samsung electric range (GG)

Normally I'd say the sauna would be the way to go here, but I just saw a sauna like that the other day for for just under two grand. My instinct thus tells me to pick the range...

  1. I missed the second half of this episode due to the Jodi Arias sentencing that pre-empted "Price" in my area. As of this comment's original posting, the episode still isn't online yet.

    1. Meanwhile, over in the Big Apple, everything past Showdown #1 got pre-empted for a wayward-landing plane at LaGuardia. Thankfully, everyone involved is OK. That's what a sudden, heavy dump of snow can do, though.

  2. Oh yeah, well "Gas Money" is one of my favorites!
