Fashion Week #5

For the last time, we take it to Nancy O'Dell in the ET studios to present Rachel, who walks the Plinko Runway in today's stunning little fashion number...

That is not a typo. Four thousand, two hundred and ninety dollars for that dress. Clearly, they aren't playing around today.

Secret "X":
The Ultimate Closet, full of designer clothing and accessories, by various high-end labels, & trip to Paris, France (6n, daily breakfast; $19,317; RR)

Unofficial third car game. Neat. ^^;

Thankfully, it didn't matter!

And that should wrap up the business end of Fashion Week. There now, that wasn't so bad, was it?

For a Mitsubishi Mirage, nicely loaded... $16,894? Also, and I don't think I ever noticed when/if they've done this before, but the car silhouette for this playing is actually of a hatchback. (Someone with a better eye for car design than I will have to tell you what specific model it is, however.)

That dropped her chances of winning down to just 50:50, and that's provided she stays away from 17 and 18... which isn't even a given, these days. Obviously it's not a lost cause yet, but the 43 was a dumb move. (Is the Easter egg really that attractive?)

Would she have done better if she hadn't wasted one of her chances on the 43? It's impossible to say. Even if she had still sussed out the 16 on her first pick, she might still have called 60 instead of 72 at some point and the result would have been the same (just $17 more in the consolation envelope). As indefensible as the Easter egg gambit is, you can't pin this loss entirely on that gaffe.

Grand Game will wrap up a first half where all three stage games offered five digits:
  • Maybelline eye shadow palette
  • Softsoap liquid hand soap
  • Scünchi elastic hair ties (18 ct)
  • Skinny Cow Divine Chocolates candy (6/1 oz pouches)
  • Sheba Cuts cat food
  • Magic Wrinkle Remover fabric treatment

The makeup looks suspect to me, and I'm iffy on the candy and the wrinkle remover. Where's that minesweeper when wee need them...

Do the Math:
  1. Napoleon Prestige propane barbecue w/Grill Alert meat thermometer (MA)
  2. Apple 15" MacBook Pro computer (8GB RAM, 256GB Flash, Airport Extreme base station; RR)
People complain all the time about accessories being RNGs, but never say anything about barbecues, which are almost every bit as bad. I think this is one of the more expensive grills, but I wouldn't want to stake my life on it.

Jasper subtracts... which in the end I think would have been my own gut instinct...
...which was the correct thing to do after all!

A recent paucity of passengers nonwithstanding, we do still have service to Leftover Island... and Shelly will be occupying a seat on that plane unless she makes the most of the advantage that has now fallen into her lap. Can she do it?

  2. Imagine if Charissa bid $30,000 for her showcase. It would've been a BIG heartbreaker for a $1 WSD. And have you noticed that Grand Game has been on a losing streak for awhile. We should call it the $100 game since it's been getting $100 wins on that game.
