Note
Socially @wesome Week #1

We did this last year, and we're trying it again now: An entire week dedicated to getting the word out on social media about Price, with various (hopefully non-show-breaking) gimmicks taking place throughout the week. One of which is live tweeting during the show, which this year is done news-ticker style instead of the Pop Up Video deal we saw last season. (Get in on the action with #PriceIsRight, next time it's on this week!) There will also be various contests and chances for home-viewer interaction during the week, which I'll do my best to recount for you here.

Let's make it happen...

It was either one or the other, though I was leaning more toward $7,086 than $8,612. Not exactly an ausipcious beginning.

Most Expen$ive:
  1. Foosball table (AL)
  2. LG ultra-capacity washer & dryer w/2 pedestal drawers (RR)
  3. MSI 27" touchscreen computer (16GB RAM, 1TB HD, Epson AIO; GG)

Computer, I think. Foosball tables are generally at or under a thousand, and I know that washer/dryer combo is around two grand even. Since the usual setup for this game and other multi-prizers is to have one prize each in the three "ballparks" ($1K, $2K, and $3K), that just leaves the computer.

However... I'm not playing the game, Judith is. And this is what Judith does.

Huh. It must've been the pedestal drawers that made the difference here. As always, not complaining about being wrong when it's to a player's benefit. ^^;

Before the next Come On Down, Drew announces that they've had an Instagram contest—two viewers with what they've deemed to be the best Price fan videos will be flown to LA and be in the audience for Friday's show, and one of those two will be called on down by George. (Sorry, folks, don't bother. Friday's show is already in the can from about two months ago. Still, you never know, they may do this again next year...)

Rat Race:
  1. Samsung 50" LED Smart HDTV (RetailMeNot.com; $1,900 [1]; RR)
  2. Four pairs of Alexander McQueen designer shoes (cannot be determined, approx. $3,400; RR)
  3. 2015 Toyota Yaris L (1.5L, 4AT, FWD; $16,770 [2]; AL)

I hate when this happens... I sincerely cannot find those particular shoes anywhere online, so I can't even begin to guess at a price. A safe estimate (based on other Alexander McQueen shoes I did see) would put it at about what I have there, but that's just a common-sense guesstimate.

Torrey risks $5,578 in prizes, but this time it's an understandable risk... that could well be it. Fingers crossed...

  1. I'm watching the multi-camera experience as I'm typing this, and in the third IUFB, they overbid twice before showing bidding the bids you see here. Those overbids, obviously, were edited out of the final episode.
